2. It is not one of the most commonly used vegetables in my kitchen, but being a period when we need color, I thought it was a good opportunity to try different flavours.

Okay, I got the cabbage. Now what to do with it?! To cook a whole cabbage in one dish, which is not sauerkraut, is too much. Plus I don't know if I'll like the result. So I prepared 2 dishes: steak and cabbage bathed in miso (recipe that will appear in the coming days on the blog).

Today we talk about steak. Yes, cabbage steak served with pan-fried mushrooms and Greek yogurt. A great idea when you don't feel like eating meat and you want to juggle the flavours a bit.

Ingredientele (pentru 3 steaks):
– 1 varza rosie
– 2g cimbru
– 2g oregano
– 10ml ulei de masline
– 10ml sos de soia

Okay, place the raw "steaks" in a tray lined with baking paper and paint them with the mixture of: thyme, oregano, honey, olive oil, soy and pepper. We repeat the procedure on both sides. All it remains is to put them in the preheated oven for 1 hour, turning them after the first 30 minutes.

The mushrooms (300g raw I used for 2 people) cut them into thin slices, along with 1-2 cloves of garlic (or 4 sprigs of green garlic), a tablespoon of oil and sauté them in a pan. I recommend the cast iron pans because they give a special flavour to the food and also help to form a delicious crunchy crust for your dishes. However, the idea is to leave the mushrooms in the pan with the garlic until they are slightly browned. Remember to stir from time to time!

Remove the steak from the oven, place it on a plate, sautéed mushrooms on top and garnish with a good spoonful of Greek yogurt and a little chopped green garlic.
The conclusion, a nutritious meal for a day when you want to stay away from meat, but still want to enjoy something satisfying.
